Brew Review – Pale Poppa by
Gulfstream Brewing

Yes, I understand Big Poppa, the signature song from lamentably deceased rapper Notorious B.I.G. It’s a cute pun, but the beer focus is so much on the Lotus Hops used that I feel could have been the impetus for naming the beer.

This hop, a cultivar from Hopsteiner bred from a variety of hop breeds such as Eastern Gold, Apollo, and Cascade, has gotten a very well-deserved reputation for some incredible fruit aromas such as grape, orange, and even a touch of vanilla.

So I don’t totally have the greatest basis for an opinion of the city of Boston, MA since I’ve never actually gone.

I do know I hate the Bruins, but that has less to do with the city and more to do with hockey in general. The people that I know have been to Boston, however, love Boston. And I’ve been told repeatedly that I would love it as well.
